Our goal is to see student participation grow by 500% by the year 2014: from 50 students per year to 300 students per year.
To reach this goal we are adding weekend dips and spring break plunges for an additional 150 students: shorter intensive immersions into urban poverty that are more accessible. We are integrating the summer internship into the heart of InterVarsity’s development of student leaders, planning to double or triple our summer internship size.
By the year 2014 we plan to have released nearly 1000 college graduates into the world who are committed to living out a heart of compassion and advocacy for the poor that changes their cities.
For this to happen, we need an army behind us.
We need an army who will dare to hope for the poor of our cities, who believe in the power of transformed hearts, and who will sacrifice to invest in students. We hope you will consider the part you may have to play in helping us fulfill our mission to break students’ hearts for the poor.
