LAUP DIPS
These are 24 to 72 hour urban immersions in the inner city of Los Angeles. We'll learn from leaders and organizations that are working for change in their communities and get perspective on God's heart. These are open to any student from any faith background and are a great place to begin learning about God's heart for the poor and the city.

LAUP PLUNGES
Plunges are alternative spring break experiences of God's heart for the poor and issues of justice. We will experience urban poverty and injustice, learn the biblical perspective on these issues, and will spend time working for the good of the city and it inhabitants.
We encourage students to do a small amount of fund-raising to pay for these trips. These trips are open to students from any faith background who are curious about God, Jesus, and the Bible. |
LAUP SUMMER INTERNSHIPS
The Summer Internship is a six-week immersion with Christian communities of color working for justice around the city of Los Angeles. Participants live in community with a team of students in different inner-city Los Angeles neighborhoods, serving and learning alongside neighborhood community based organizations, while engaging with local and national faith leaders around biblical justice, poverty, race, money, and faith-rooted advocacy through a lense of mutual conversion and intelligent love.
This combination of hands-on experience and training equips students to use their careers to combat the social, economic, and spiritual challenges of our world. Application is required for participation, and student interns are required to fund-raise $2000 |
SOCAL ECOPLUNGE 2020
This brand new Justice Program is a 3-day immersive experience open to all Southern California students or staff who have an interest in God's heart for creation and want to grow in their knowledge and theology of Shalom. The five branches of values for this program are: growing in ecological theology, going deep on one environmental issue, connecting to the land on a personal level, getting our hands dirty, and connecting to the people of the land. We will be spending our time in Pomona CA, learning about the recent public health and environmental justice issues of the city, regenerative agriculture, and Theology of the Land.
